CFRI IS PLEASED TO PRESENT THE SECOND CYCLE OF OUR REVISED
CYSTIC FIBROSIS (CF) RESEARCH AWARD PROGRAMS

LARGER GRANT AWARDS WITH 2-YEAR PROJECT COMMITMENTS!

LETTERS OF INTENT

In November, CFRI will be accepting Letters of Intent for our Elizabeth Nash Memorial Fellowship Program and New Horizons Research Program that focus on basic, clinical or translational research related to cystic fibrosis and that are original, probing and/or pioneering new approaches to CF research.

CFRI is a 501 (C) 3 nonprofit organization founded in 1975 with a mission to fund research, provide educational and personal support, and spread awareness of cystic fibrosis.

Since our founding, our research program has resulted in:
• Funding over $9 million in CF research grant awards.
• Over 200 peer-reviewed publications in which CFRI funding is
     acknowledged.
• Multiple seminal discoveries that led to the development of CF mutation      specific therapeutics and will pave the way to therapeutics approaches      that will serve a larger fraction of CF patients.

CFRI is committed to investing in the highest quality scientific research that will broaden treatment options, improve quality of life, and expand the search for a cure.

All Letters of Intent, due November 6, 2017, will be reviewed by the CFRI Research Advisory Committee (RAC). Selected applicants will be invited by December 11, 2017 to submit a full proposal to CFRI. The full proposal is due by February 12, 2018. After a peer review process and approvals of the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) and the Board of Directors, grants will be awarded on April 18, 2018 for two years, to commence after June 1, 2018. Support for a second year (2019-2020) is contingent on approval of progress reports and presentation of results at the annual CFRI National Family CF Education Conference.
