Do You Need to Talk to Others who Live with CF?

Summer 1998

CFRI understands the need to talk about CF and offers quarterly support groups for the CFRI community on Saturdays at the CFRI office in Palo Alto. If people request it, we can offer these meetings more frequently. Held at the CFRI office in Palo Alto and facilitated by a psychologist, these support groups allow you to express the feelings that often accompany the diagnosis of CF, the trials of living with CF daily, the roles of various family members, and other topics all in a safe and supportive environment.

The Parents, Grandparents and Other Relatives group meets from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and the Teens and Adults with CF group meets from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., allowing a one-hour overlap for both groups to meet briefly together.

Call the CFRI office at 650-856-0546 to learn more about these support groups and when the next meetings will be held.
