The 13th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Invitational was held on August 18th this year at the
Almaden Country Club in San Jose. It proved to be the largest and most successful
Invitational yet, netting over $31,000 to CFRI. Participating amongst the golfers and
supporters was Jamie Baker, hockey pro currently with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mr. Baker,
who used to play for the San Jose Sharks, also attended last year's event. This year he
brought along several of his former Sharks teammates to play in and help support the
event.
Our thanks to the Golf Committee, chaired by Mike Roanhaus. Committee members included
Scott Hoyt, Almaden Country Club's Pro Host, Anne Hoyt, Francine Bion, Debbie Gerow, Jim
Hampton, Jane Pearcy and Ralph Swanson. Special thanks to Scott and Anne Hoyt for their
